Before you haul a load here
- Secure and cover your load. Most facilities charge extra or turn away untarped loads.
- Separate items. Keep tires, appliances, mattresses, electronics and yard waste apart from household trash — they're usually charged or unloaded separately.
- Bring ID and payment. Many public sites check residency, and some take cash or check only.
- Leave hazardous waste at home. Paint, chemicals, batteries, propane tanks and motor oil go to household hazardous waste drop-offs, not the regular tipping floor.
